What's the difference? If you can lease a TT or C4S, why not a S?

Actually, you can't lease either of those two as well. Problem is that NY State has not enacted legislation (unlike almost every other state has) to prevent manufacturers from being sued by third-parties as co/defendents in lawsuits involving lessees. Because of this lack of "veil," no manufacturer, or their related financial institution, provides leasing alternatives in NY State.

That being said, I do think their are third-party lessors - Putnam, etc. come to mind - that do provide you with the ability to lease in state. Although I have not researched them, I would assume that their premiums reflect the added risk of potential pass-through liability.

Is this something new,bc I always lease my vehicles for tax reasons?
I just talked to my dealer, you're absolutely right. Can you still take certain tax advantages via the balloon route? Is this situation true of all leasing agents, or just high end?
Bummer

Perhaps business leases are permissible and/or treated differently.

I can't verify if this is true for leases for other makes as I've never checked, but logic would dictate that it would be the case.

As for a balloon payment as a surrogate to leasing, although I can't remember the details, I understand that you might actually be disadvantaged relative to leasing - at least from a tax angle - as with a balloon payment, you actually pay the taxes on the full purchase price up-front, whereas with a lease, you obviously only pay taxes on lease payment every month.

Do tell us how you are getting away with leasing C4S Surgeon?!

I drive a lot for business so leasing makes sense for me and if I crash it I won't get hit at the end.
