REBor8 is infamous around these parts
Most would recommend you stay with the OEM filters and airbox. They last a long time and the volume/velocity of the stock system is not limiting intake requirements.

Hi Ian,

Although the physically appearance of the Werks1 box is very similar to stock, it has a much more efficient design inside. It also uses much freer flowing filters. Below is a picture of the box opened up, as well as a dyno sheet showing proven gains from the box.

Thanks for the explanation. 'Never judge a book by its cover' would seem to be appropritate here!

Thanks Ian! One of the things we pride ourselves on the most is engineering parts that are not only beautifully crafted and perfect fitting, but also insuring that their functionality provides a proven benefit to the owner. Rest assured, if it didn't make power, our engineers wouldn't quit until they came up with a design that did!

Here's a couple more pictures to give you an idea of just how beautiful this system is once installed. Form AND function....all in one.

I had a Tubi exhaust and BMC filters put on my 997.2s and paid $225 for just the filters. The shop that ordered and installed did not think they were worth the enormous cost compared to other air filters, but I bought them anyway since I already asked him to order for me. It was my mistake to not check the price before I asked him to order. Anyway the Tubi gives me the sound I was looking for, I love it!
Someone on here mentioned that if you install an cold-air intake system it could decrease low end torque, is that true? because I was considering getting one installed soon.
Thanks

Hi zzzspeed,
If you take a look at the dyno graph above of our Werks1 carbon intake in comparison to the OEM airbox, you will in fact notice that there is a very small loss in low end tq. However the gains above 4500rpm really make it worthwhile.
You've gotta figure, below 4500rpm is typically when you're just driving around town casually so you won't necessarily notice the loss of torque. But above 4500rpm, which is typically during more spirited driving, you'll be glad to have the extra power!

The key to making power with an intake on the 997.2 application is to use a sealed airbox. This provides a great barrier in keeping the cool in and the hot air out of the air box. When retaining the stock airbox, its recommend that you swap over to high flow filters like a BMC or if you want to replace the airbox, make sure you shop for a sealed airbox replacement ( ie ) Werks1 Air Intake mentioned above by Tom.
