Question 05 C2 tip change to 09 Cayman S PDK?

I had a Cayman S Tip before and the handling was awesome and the look is pretty awesome to me. I feel not having the back seats makes the car very unhandy in many ways. I want the new PDK but 320hp seems a bit not enough imo and downgrade to a 987 is kinda UMMM if I trade in for it. It will cost me 25k usd plus I get 3 years warrnty. only 2500 miles on it.
Would you do it?

I would not do it.
Instead - save up some dough over the next couple years, enjoy the 05 you have now and go for a 09 C2 or C2S at that time.

There's no right or wrong answer to this question though.

Don't do it. Sell the car that you have . Get a cheaper car until you can get the one you really want. It's not that the PDK Cayman isn't a good car .. it's just not your first choice and it costs enough that it has to be right for you . Save your money. Just wait.

IMO, the difference between S and non-S is pretty slight, and the difference between PDK and Tip is HUGE.

I don't know your financial situation, and don't do anything if it will stretch you -- not worth it over a car. That said, the PDK is AWESOME on both Cayman and 997 and makes the cars a different animal.

Have to agree with the replies above me...I would not get the 09 Cayman. You don't lose money you don't spend, and why spend it on a car that you're not going to be crazy about? Worst feeling would be investing in something that left you imagining you were turning the key on a different car every time you jumped in for a ride.

If you still enjoy the car you have now, ride it out until you can truly get what you want. If you're over your current car, like it was said cash it out now and jumpstart the savings toward your real goal. The feeling you'll have the day you get your 911 PDK will tell you it's worth it.

A Cayman S PDK will run circles around a 997 Tip. I'd rather have the Cayman S PDK.
