To all the a-holes out there...was upset, but all is well.

This weekend I had an unfortunate incident in which a a lovely driver in the Orlando area decided he needed to be in my lane more then I needed to be and without looking and listening for the incessant horn honking, completely cut me off. Had I not slammed on the breaks and swerved, he would have hit me. Luckily I had a nice curb to stop me from going into the next lane over...sense the sarcasm. A completely messed up, curbed rear wheel later (yes, the $1,400 a piece wheels) and I was so freaking upset, beyond words. And of course, the driver stopped to make sure everything was okay too...right
Nevertheless, I am so thankful to the team at Ultimate Audio in Orlando, Florida (where I bought the wheels). They were able to get me connected with the most amazing wheel repair place in town (Alloy Wheel Repair) and they repaired the damage today. You cannot even tell it was hit, like brand new. Guess it was a good choice to go with polished aluminum lips. Thank you for the amazing deal, great customer service and help.

Glad to hear it was fixed after an unfortunate incident. Nothing you can do but get out of the way when other peoples stupidity has it's moments. Also love the rims on that color.
It sounds like you got the visible parts of the wheel fixed unless I'm mistaken. Did they also ensure that the wheel was still perfectly round and you would not have vibrations at higher speeds? I'm just curious, because these cars are designed to go 170mph+ and at anywhere close to those speeds even the most minute imbalance would probably be realized. IMHO better safe than sorry if (i.e. better to get an entirely new wheel) if there is any chance that there is some damage that is not visible and not repaired.

I live in Orlando and, sadly, this is the order of the day. Not only do people not look at blind spots when changing lanes, many are just too busy carrying on a conversation by phone or texting to do so. They have also forgotten or never knew what a merge lane is when entering a highway; they just linger on at 40 mph or so on the merge lane until it ends and are forced to merge onto traffic and then they act mad as if the ongoing traffic is at fault and stupid when they get horns honked or can't merge - what about accelerating to speed and actively pursuing the merge? Again, I feel your pain but I've gotten used to this pattern years ago, as it is the norm rather than the exception nowadays.
