997S - Street Car 2 Track Car
Wow...that takes alot of dedication to strip the modern conveniences out of the car but I suppose you are making this a dedicated track car.
Have you noticed any performance gains with the weight reduction? The guys at Stuttgart Performance provide great service.

I'd imagine the changes would definately be noticeable when it comes to performance. Less weight effectively equals more hp, better braking and better steering. Lotus does that very well (my old car). Someone mentioned a formula about 10 lbs lost being effectively the same as adding 1hp (but then also benefits braking and steering).
my hat is off to you. well done. however, the one convenience you probably should have left is the passenger seat. I couldn't live without it, though it would be a nice excuse to not have to put up with a passenger.

Mo is just a wee little guy... well compared to me anyway and lighter than most Porsche drivers!
Mo, saw your conversion on Renntrack. Cant say I would do the same thing with a relatively new car but I am excited to chase you around the track.. or get passed by you... whatever! I am looking forward to our next track day. I am hoping I can do June 11th.
Sounds like Gomez's car is stuck at GMG for another couple weeks. I should have mine back from GMG on Monday!

Wow. That takes some grapes. I know my wife would lose her f'n mind if she came in the garage and I had done that to the interior of the expensive car "I had to have". And believe me, she doesn't wear the pants around here, but I still wouldn't want to see/hear her after that. Good for you, though.

When I bought this car I had no idea it would end up like this 3 years later. At the time a gt3 was out of reach and asking 20k over sticker used.
Before I gutted it my car was outperforming gt3s in the twisties but ID get smoked in the straights.
I'm happy with this car and I think it makes me improve more when I push after gt3s with Hoosiers and battle with them in my 997s with toyo's.
Plus replacem t costs are much cheaper than gt3s like 12k for a new motor instead of 35k if god forbid I blew one.
All that said I'm happy with my new trAck car, but with that said I see a 2010 gt3 in my future, but that one will not be gutted. Yet!

That is one that is too often overlooked and actually decreases your risk for many diseases.
