I am told you can remove the secondary resonators to get a little more grunt, but when I look under the car all I see are the mufflers and the cats?

Anyone know how or have any pictures?

 

What exactly are you referring to? What year and model is your car? Pre 2009 all 997's have just headers to cats to mufflers. Nothing more. For MY 2009, the 997.2's have primary and secondary mufflers, and there is a lot of room to modify/ remove one or the other. Searching here will give you a lot of answers, but first, make sure you're on the right page.

It sounds like you have a pre-2009 997, in which case you also have many options. You can upgrade the cats, or do a gundo hack to your cans, or both, or change to aftermarket mufflers, etc.

the only resonator I know of is the helmholmz resonator in the airbox on 997.1. That can be bypassed with a cap and straight air hose but not removed unless you remove the whole airbox.
