New iOS 4 (iPhone OS 4) - 997.2

I upgraded my iPhone to the new multitasking 4.0 iOS (as Apple calls it now). Having some problems with my bluetooth. Phone pairs but does not ring over the speakers when I receive a call. Everything else works. The ringtone option is also greyed out. I believe that was a valid option before.

Anyone have an iPhone running 3.x version that can confirm?

Progress made. I removed the pairing from both the PCM and the iPhone. I then re-paired the iPhone and it's ringing over the audio system.

The difference with the new iPhone os is that my iPhone ringtone is now coming over the speakers instead of the canned ringtone options from the PCM. The ringtone option on the PCM is still greyed out.

I believe all is well now! Will spend some time investigating further on the drive home!

Thanks for the info! I am waiting to get the new iPhone4 this Thursday, but my wife's 3GS just got the OS updated, so will re-pair.

I also pre-ordered the iPhone 4. According to the tracking info I should have it tomorrow (one day early). Will post my findings!

Correct socalsteve. I upgraded my 3GS on Monday when the new iPhone OS released. The OS is the same one running on the new iPhone 4 arriving to some perhaps one day early.

I hope I don't have to stand in line too long. I am going to pick mine up after work - 500PM tomorrow. Everyone else should be done by then, right?!!? I'm glad our local Porsche dealer sponsors free valet parking

Lines tomorrow are going to be a nightmare. I received my iPhone 4 this morning at 10:30. Confirmed it works fine with my 997.2.

Mine was supposed to have shown up today...But Fedex said there was a glitch and its still in TX in a container waiting to be shipped to LA....

I think what happened was that FedEx was too overloaded and they had to ship in waves. Mine will be the 2nd wave...

Should be here in the AM!

Anyone else having trouble with playing music when using iOS4? "iPod" still shows up as one of my sources, but when I try to select it by hitting the source button it says it's not connected.

Will try that on my way home from the office and report back. I have a dedicated iPod nano which always stays in the car for music. My iPhone is paired over bluetooth for phone calls only.

Fun911 - have you ever worried about your nano eating up battery power when it stays plugged in your car when you're not in it? Sorry a little off topic...

My iPhone 4 paired up with my 997.2 no problem. I'm going to try the music on the way home.

I may be wrong here but I thought the nano stops charging when the car is turned off. I'm going to check that also on the way home now. If it doesn't charge the device I assume we should be good, right?
