exhaust option for a DD?
I would do the PSE. Being able to toggle between the 2 exhausts is great, especially with a daily driver. The ability to switch to quiet mode when driving in and out of your neighbourhood at night or make a cell phone call. Yet at the push of a button you get a great sounding exhaust. Perfect senario for a daily driver.
And if you decide to add it, put the bypass button in the ashtray area. It's far better to toggle it manually anyway than having it tied into "sport mode"
Can you tell this will be my next mod?

I just put the Sharkwerks bypas pipes on my 7S.2. They're PERFECT for a DD.
Firstly inside the car. At part throttle it's actually quieter - the bypass pipes remove a small-but-noticeable drone from the stock exhaust that's annoying. This is also true when cruising. At higher rpms/more throttle, there's a very-welcome, muted growl that wasn't there with the stock system
Outside the car. On startup it barks like the PSE. At part-throttle there's a muted growl that isn't audible from inside. At WOT it sounds more like a Porsche should, but is still really refined.
If you want to hear your car but keep everything very civilised then the Sharkwerks bypass is an excellent mod. Even better, you have a ready-made 'upgrade' route. If you install the Sharkwerks pipes, then decide you do want a more aggressive sports exhaust sound, you can simply add Tubi (or Cargraphic or whatever) side cans as a 'Stage-2' mod. All these cans are designed to work with primary bypass pipes so you can't go wrong!

We aimed to keep it civilized inside the cabin (wife-approved etc...) so Porsche dealers etc... would be into it as well. Especially early on when the PSE was back-ordered etc... Anyways, thanks again and fingers crossed for Sunday vs Germany eh?
Sharkster,
For my 09 997.2s I have tubi exhaust with the cross pipes and bmc filters, I am considering getting the EVOMSit. My question is, can I expect gains of 25hp and 25 tq. I am being told that it is possible for this brand while other brands only give you 10-15 gains. Then others tell me that I will only get gains of 10-15 no matter the brand I use.
Have you dyno this car and what does it show for hp and tq?
By the way for the initial poster, I love my tubi exhaust.
I am biased, but I agree it's a good way to go. It's a Porsche part, you have the dual modes and if you later decide you want more sound, you can add the racing CATs. With the PSE button, I can still quiet it up even with the CATs, but make it loud when I want. However realize you will get 1,000 different answers about exhausts on this site. What is loud and what sounds good is very personal.
Pleasure! - Credit where it's due; the product does exactly what it says on the tin.
4-1 Ouch! Not entirely unexpected given the team's recent (complete lack of) form though....

No kidding I mean those shirts seemed a bit tight fitting too... We invented the game but the Germans... ahh... still there's always 66.
Speaking for the 997.1, I absolutely love the sound of my Tubi's!
As a side, all of the feedback here is positive. It's all about personal taste. A good friend of mine has the AWE system, and it too sounds absolutely beautiful. Just different as is the Sharkwerks, B&B, etc... as long as the quality is there whomever you chose. Just my $.02. Enjoy!

That is what I currently run (on my 997.1). It's tame in the lower RPM range and screams at WOT. It may be heavier, but my car doesn't know that.
I also have the vacuum controlled butterfly valves disconnected so as not to get dropout of the great sound.
