Was the speedometer in MPH or km/h? if the latter, 178km/h is not that much.

 

So true...I regularly do 100mph on our highway to Abu Dhabi and ironically the speed cameras don't even flash till 110. Stable as can be.

Yes, I check my tire pressures ever single fill up.

 

If it was a German car it was presumably kph, though you certainly pushed the rpm. I won't tell you how many mph I regularly do late at night through the Eisenhower Tunnel at over 11,000 ft elevation on Interstate-70 (videocams notwithstanding).

If you pause the video on a clear frame you can see the mph next to the digital read out speed and that the analog speedo is approaching 300 km/h

I really enjoyed driving my 911 in Germany when I lived there, although that was before the days of 180 MPH it was more like 150 MPH.

Really amazing how quickly these cars can get from 110 to 170. It is a stratosphere that I've never explored. Just amazing.
