Anyone have experience with this?
Removal is easy: you need 2 Torx drivers (T20 and T25 I believe) to remove the two side panels. The first screw (T25) is hidden in the carpet about an inch below the secondary "lighter plug" in the passenger footwell. This will remove that small triangle of carpet/plastic and reveal the other screw (T20) that holds the side panel in place. Remove it, then pull the entire panel straight towards the rear of the car. Pull the bottom side forward first - sort of like you are trying to rotate the panel clockwise - there are three snap-in type fittings along the front edge that take a lot of force to release. Make sure you keep it against the center stack and are pulling towards the rear of the car and not into the footwell. Kind of like pulling a record from it's sleeve (not that everyone knows what that means anymore...).
Do the same for the driver's side.
After those two panels are removed it will be clear how to remove anything from the center console. There are some quarter-turn screws that lock things in place.
Hope this helps.

I'd be interseted to know if it works as well. Does this mean you would not need the Dension 500?
Jack667 - What did you replace your system with? Looks like you changed out the speakers as well.
