Test drove 4 997's today..Gimme advice
Actually my preferred color is slate grey. Next is arctic silver. The Sonnan dealer said his car was priced perfectly 60k out the door for a 07 Carrea....really ugh!
One major thing to consider in any used car is Warranty. Next is the stick or tip. If it was PDK then that would be just a personal thing, but non-PDK, the pros say to go with manual. Tip apparently can not keep up with the cars full performance level.
However if I am the primary driver (and paying for the car) i will still consider the other person but i have found that i can not think of even one person who didn't want me to get the car i wanted.
If someone else were to buy a car for me to use --Ha ha ..I must be dreaming --
I would just say thank you .
Just for fun I took the following topics -
1) Black Exterior --your first post was all black cars.
2) Authorized Porsche dealership only
3) certified Car
4) Low miles
5) Manual vs Tip -I figured all is solved with PDK .
6) Nearly every option --including good wheels
7) 2009 only -- First year of PDK.
8) A 997 "S"
9)Priced within reason but above your search range.
10) Carfax shows 1 owner car bought and serviced at the same dealership.
Looked at all the cars listed and this one caught my eye .

Wait one year and the PDK prices will be in that range. It gives you time to save and look --so that when you get the car it has eveything.
Don't buy any car that you are not 100% in love with. If you wonder on any point, the chances are high that they will get worse in the future.
Silver .So cal, base coupe, no sport chrono.
I found a slate gray at the same dealership but it's a manual and he wants tip . Plus Tip is not PDK.
They have a tip but it's not CPO .
In short .. to find the car that has what he has requested at the price he's looking leaves him making compromises and chasing after cars above his initial starting price .
It just makes no sense to buy the wrong car.
He has nothing to lose by waiting.

You would not want my car . It's white with terracotta . It has everything else you'd want but even dealerships were offering me 75 in trade (on a gt3RS) so that black car at 84 is comparable to mine.
Except it doesn't have my upgrades but it does have CPO.

I think you need to nail down a budget, then drive some cars and see what you want. If you can afford a PDK then get one but make sure you get one set up right with the options you want. It's a bunch of money to spend and then 3 months later wish you had gotten one with X.
Keep looking... the search is part of the fun.
