First Time Service for my 997.1

My computer says I'm due for service in 2 Days and want to know what can I expect for the dealer. I have a 08 C2 Coupe with almost 3K miles. I checked the service manual and it says "First Minor Maintenance" at 12K miles or after one year, so I assume it is the year thing. I usually only do the service that is required to keep warranty in effect and find humorous the additional stuff that the dealers want to charge. Having gone through this many times, I expect my first visit to Porsche to be very interesting.

Call the dealer, they may advise you to wait until the 12K mile mark. The service reminders are based on milage and time.

Gator Skin is infamous around these parts
I have 9K miles on my 2006 (recently new to me) and the previous owner had a low mileage, non-full maintenace check done yearly at a significant discount he said

I change the oil either once a year or every 5K miles (whichever comes first) . I realize the service intervals are longer but I feel better having the car in top shape and since they are modded they need more .
With my M3 on the other hand I let it go the entire 15K miles and again at 28K (whenever the light goes on ) --via ""free maintenance" and the car has been amazingly reliable. I have not spent once cent on the car except tires.

One more thing .. I don't lease my cars but if I did there is no way I would do anything more than what is required .
