Goal: Aggressive looking and handling street car, eventually to see track time (dual use street track) when current dedicated track appliance is retired (maybe ~5 years out). 13k mile CPO car is new to me as of late May 2010.
Previously covered on 6speed:
- OZ wheels + DIY red stripes on wheels, painted lugs and colored crest caps
- Kenwood Head Unit (Nav, ipod, bluetooth, back-up camera, Sat Radio, DVD) + 4x150W amp sound (speakers, SWs, Dynamat, etc)
Latest round:
- Aerokit bumper
- Damptronics (lowered)
- RSS Sways w/Droplinks, Toe kit, 4x dogbones, corner balance & alignment
- Gundo hack (actually Dfister mod)
Little stuff:
- Aluminum gas cap (awesome, btw)
- pedals (not installed, jury is out)
- Valentine One pro install w/remote display
on the horizon / under consideration - need budget:
- mods4cars (in transit)
- GT3TEK spoiler extension and roof spoiler (subtle balance for front aero?)
- Blinder laser protection (not illegal in my state)
- 2x150W sound for rear of car (stock sound in rear is not cutting it)
- Airbag sticker delete (DIY)
- Painted console, etc
Post CPO warranty (2 years out, so kind of pie in the sky at this point)
- 200 cell cats for sure (seems like this is the best power mod)
- x51 headers (maybe, not sure what the benefit would be)
- Softronic (I'll see what's up in 2 years with the flash scene)
- CAI (least excited about this one, we'll see)
- maybe a more aggressive rear spoiler when it sees track time
Comments???

Do the cats and x51 headers. They shouldnt affect your warranty. Have heard a BMC filter is as good as most CAI's (cant verify). Also, if you flash w/ softronic you can flash back to stock anytime to keep your warranty. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the comments!
I've heard mixed things on the power mods (cats, headers, CAI, softronic) and figure that the car has plenty of power for now (remember I just got it - we'll see in a few more months!).
My thought is that I plan to keep the car for ~10 years, so that stuff can wait.
I love the sport button for throttle response, even with 6MT.
The car is still in the shop for that last group of mods, and I'll get in the next couple of days. Plan a 5-6 hour trip each way for a long weekend in a few days with the wife, but concerned about too much rain in the forecast. I'm not afraid to drive it in the rain, as it's my only DD, but since I have other options this weekend, I might choose something more practical. I should be able to report back with some impressions soon...

Beautiful. Love the color
. Where did you buy the Aluminum Gas Cap?
Funny, I have not taken delivery of my car yet, but I am putting my list together of Mods. Should be here next week and I can not wait.
No tints??? They are a MUST with the blackout.

Thanks for the comments, folks!! I'm very excited about the new ride!!
My wife asks me if I miss my old car (awesome 964 widebody cab, long story), but this car has me hooked! I bought some of the parts from 6speeders and got lots of inspiration from you folks - so thanks for that!
You'll have to ask the guys at MotorWerks, north of Atlanta. Matt Forte spent lots of time working with the Alex Job race team and he runs a top shop here in town. He's done plenty of work for me in the past (on the 964 and the 944, for which he still handles track prep), so of course I trust him with this work. I also want to have some work done at the dealer to build a relationship there, in case I have any warranty claims.

Will do. I have all the gear now, including a HANS device, but I'm waiting for this car to depreciate to the point that I wouldn't be so devastated financially if I balled it up. Plus, I have a perfectly good track appliance to thrash around. But down the road, sure!
Lastly, I really wanted sports seats this time, and this car has them, so I'll want to leave those in for now...
