pdk? stick? tt? help me!!
Is there anything specific you don't like about Tiptronic (I am trying to be serious.) If it is the shifting behavior and speed of shifts, have you considered reprogramming the TCU? Many Tip users have found a reprogrammed control unit to dramatically change their opinion of the transmission.
Just a thought.

As a new '10 C2 w/PDK & paddles owner, I'd have to agree with those above who say that if you can swing it, a TT w/ PDK and paddles is probably the only way to go. I'd be driving one now if it was in my budget (it's not).

Already try the softronic with the faster shifting. Still slow to me. The downshift and upshift times are disappointment. I already owned 3 p cars with tip and I just don't like it. Finding a manual here is almost impossible. Self export is possible but the hassle and takes at least 2.5 months for inspection, etc. Not worth it imo.
You really disliked the Tiptronic enough to want out of the car. Don't get the PDK . even though its far advanced over the Tip (and manual) it's not the interraction of a traditonal stick .
Based on what you are describing (and price concerns) I would opt for a used Turbo stick and place a few basic mods (software , exhaust, suspension) to keep the overall cost within reason .

If you can afford a $220K car you can afford anything you want. For your area, I would recommend a standard Carrera with any options you want. A Cab is not stiff like a C6 Vette so if you like stiff cars get a coupe. The 6 speed is fun and light (much easier to drive (shift) than a C6, but the PDK is impressive.

now, i made a decision. 10 C2S or 10 C4S.
I owned
02 996 C2 tip
06 Cayman S tip
05 997 C2 tip
should I just try and enjoy the AWD and wider body?????
ummmm
and nope we do get GT3 RS here but cannot be driven on public roads.
