When are you going to the track? Sebring is my home track. Any questions let me know.
Very cool! Hilton Head Porsche got it from southern/central Florida. The exhaust was back to stock but it still had the LCAs, clear bra, and stainless brake lines (unless that is stock???). It had 90+% new RE960 tires and the dealer did new rotors and pads b/f I bought it.

My first trip out will be Roebling Road (Savannah) in Sept with the Coastal Empire PCA. I've instructed with them on a few occasions. I'm waiting to see if I can get on some of the Florida PCA chapters as an instructor. I'm working on the Florida Crown now. Are you in the Suncoast?

Yes, took delivery the end of June! Thanks, I love it!

PCCB with those wheels look aggressive, I like how the spokes dive into the Porsche centre hub cap from the offset of those rear wheels.

By the way, Lovely Home! Nice greenery there!
Thanks Howie! When I bought the house the landscape was a wreak but a very good buddy of mine does beautiful work and transformed it!

No problem, Modbargains (a site sponsor) sells them shipped for $1599 and includes Porsche center caps and new chrome plated lug bolts.

My install shop thought I paid A LOT more for them. They look that nice!

Doc, too bad thy did not leave the Fabspeed exhaust as it had Fabspeed headers, cats and mufflers on it. but yeah the car needed new PCCB rotors, fronts were replaced before. Be careful of PCCB's at the track and only run the pads down to 50% then replace. Use only Porsche Motorsport pads to help with rotor wear. The PCCB rotors are around $16,000 to replace (that is not a typo). My friend post here sometimes, I will let him know where his car is. Yep this car came from Florida.

Yes I instruct for Suncoast. I also instruct for Chin and PBOC as well.

Damn, a full Fabspeed . . . I wonder who removed it??? The old owner or dealer (maybe you can ask your buddy) . . . If the dealer then I'm going to confront about it!!! That is mine!!! LOL. The dealer put on new steel rotors and factory pads, which after a lot of reading, I'm happy for. I use to be on Chin's instructor list but have been off the grid for about 3 years. I need to get back on as we are ready to enjoy the car! My wife will be a new student as well

I like the wheels, is that a stock Porsche size cap? Would you be able to fit a painted cap in their instead?

Steels really are better, especially if you are going to DE. However what steels did they put on it? The PCCB caliper and rotor size is much bigger than the Carrera S rotors. I think they might have put the 997 Turbo rotors on or did they do Girodisc? If they did Giro's you got a great deal.

The dealer told me that a company is making the correct sized steels to replace the PCCB rotors. He didn't tell me what company but said their cost was $2K. The sticker on the hub said made in Germany. They are the correct sizes.

Just so I know, what pads (part #s) fit these rotors? When you look up the 05 Carrera S they do not have the PCCB option (450 upgrade???). I would like to upgrade to the 29s so do I look under another model with these brakes??? I've searched but haven't got a straight answer.

If you have the PCCB caliper then I sure hope you have the correct rotors (steel). I bet the dealer just put on the stock 997 Turbo rotors. Carrera S rotors are too small for the larger PCCB caliper which is like the Turbo caliper.
Honestly I bet I am correct on this but to be sure you should post this question up on the rennlist racer/DE forum.

Are the steel Turbo and PCCBs both 380mm? I may post up over there about it.

sorry for my ignorance. did you change the rotors and calipers on the car, or did it come with the ceramic big brake option?
