There are some impressive odometers here.

Me, I just went over 6K miles last weekend ;-) Seriously. I gotta stop traveling so much for work and drive more.

Spoke too soon... I just have to replace the battery this morning!!

It's amazing how the battery in my neighbor's Honda lasted 11 yrs and the battery in my wife's Subaru still works after almost 8.5 yrs but mine only lasted 4.5 yrs.

I always thought 3-4 years on battery was about all you can expect.

2009 997.2 C2 with 10K miles now (for 8 months from new).

I swear the engine feels stronger now than when it was new!

Awesome - You could post a pic of the odometer on the 100,000mi anniversary.

I have 41,000mi on my '05 Cab S, which I've owned ~ 12 months. So far, pretty pleasant experience considering its a performance vehicle.

Replaced:

* Leaky water pump at 40,000mi
* Cab-hydrol. piston (& cab-motor...which was 99% my fault) - 35,000mi
* Battery -35,000mi

I will soon replace the 'sticky' radio dials and floor mats.

I was pleasantly surprised with the much-lower-than-expected bill for my 40,000 mile "major service" at E.P.E. in Natick.

'07 997S coupe 61k miles and counting every day. Only issues (warranty) were a bad horn and PSM module very early on. Street and track use. Used 1 qt of oil every 10k miles until we switched to 15-50 and now doesn't use any. Great car!

VERY impressive. I have way more respect for people like you than people who fear driving their cars because they might get a little road rash and not look perfect under a magnifying glass.

My 07 Targa had a faulty horn too. They said there was a bad batch for part of that year. Thanks for the oil tip.

Did you have smoke on startup with your original oil and did it stop after you switched to 15-50? Was it Mobile 1 in both cases?

Wow! And I though my 06 with 8k was low! In my defense, however, it only had 2500 when I got it a year ago. So I'm doing my best!
