Help! my car ate my phone
After some spirited driving my phone travelled around the passenger side of my car and found a small cave under the seat. I have been trying with a coat hanger to coax the thing out but it isnt working. Is there a way to get to this trap from the bottom of the vehicle? Any ideas how I might get it out? or do I let the car keep the phone.
I assume that is facing towards the front of the car?
If so, find an empty road and use your brakes to "coax" it out.
Or if the opening is facing to a side or rear of the car use steering wheel or floor mounted pedals in the appropriate fashion to remove phone from said cave.
Do you have one of those little mirrors on a telescoping stick to see if the phone is still in there?

I tried persuading it out with some repeated heavy braking. I think I need to get those "dentist" tools you are talking about.... a little telescoping mirror and a trusty coat hanger.
Don't brake but accelerate suddenly !. LOL. Happened to me two times (I had the Samsung Ultra thin editions < 9mm thick) each time I went out on a wild ride around a nearby mountain and got it out!. Now I use Blutooth no need to take the phone outtamepocket

i had the same issue the day i took my car home. I could hear it ring when i called it but could not find it. The by chance I saw just the tip hanging out and i used double sided tape to just touch the side and got the phone out. Good luck!
Ah, that slot - it seems to magnetically attract foreign objects. About two years ago, my son was eating jelly beans in the back seat of my car and spilled half the bag on the floor. Several jelly beans found there way into that slot under the passenger seat. For the next year I heard them rolling around every time I took a turn. I tried several options to free them including the brake method mentioned above and leaving my car outside in the sun for several hours hoping that the jelly beans would melt and become stuck to something and would no longer roll - that great idea did not work. Finally, about a year later, I was able to coax the last of them out using the hard braking method. Given the price of these cars, you'd think Porsche would make the slot smaller or but a small grill or vent cover on it so that it couldn't goobble up our stuff.
