Final Drive Ratio

Final Drive Ratio
I am considering changing final drive ratio on my 997.2 from stock 3.44:1 to 4:1, but really want to be sure that cost / benefit trade off is worth it.
Would greatly appreciate feedback relative to improved performance, adverse impact on gas mileage and reduction in tope end which will result.
Thank you.

If changing rear gears on a P car is like other cars I have done gear changes on, you will be paying for a either a tune or some sort of sending unit change to make sure your speedometer reads correctly.
Your gas mileage is going to go down especially around town and expect your cruising RPMs to be higher with the new gears.
