the difference between Porsche and MB
C63 is my daily and it's great for what it is, which is by no means a 911 substitute. I wouldn't compare it w/ other AMG 63s with regards to handling, which it's actually not bad at for a 4k lb sedan. The ride is a little harsh for a daily, however, actually not even as compliant as my GT2. It's basically a big motor in a small(ish) car, definitely more bang for your buck than than any of the other 63s. Great exhaust note. Interior is cheapish, but the seats are great, I like them as much as the *** in my previous 911 C4S.
Dealers are dealers, I've been to good and average Porsche dealers (never a bad experience though), same as MB.

I too thought the seats in the C63 were AOK. At first blush I was taken aback at how aggressive the bolsters are, but settled in nicely.

Definitely different cars. I have an E63 as my daily and the C4S as the fun weekend, day off, need to get out of the house car..... Love them both. Have said this many times, will always have an AMG in the stable and the other toy will vary. It has been rock solid, the dealership here has been head and shoulders above Porsche, BMW, Lexus....ANYONE. They always give me a loaner, test drive anything, on a first name basis with the service guys (brought in 2x per year for the last 4yrs) and a few of the sales guys. The wife hates anything fast and sporty, yet loves the E63. We take it all over the east coast, she loves taking it to work, and taking her girlfriends out in it. For me that is money well spent, as I get her out every once in a while
Actually am planning on extending the warranty and giving it to her soon. S63 is next on the list.
Again, please don't get discouraged from one dealership, the AMG cars are not competitors to porsche but they are a perfect mate....

Porsche's are built from the ground as sports cars, so it's something they do VERY well. The AMG's on the other hand, are based on cars that weren't originally meant to be canyon carving sports cars. Mercedes-Benz has never been known for being the sportiest of the German sedans, that has been BMW(in my opinion). Don't get me wrong, I love my Mercedes, and it's a great car, but it's no Porsche 911, and it never will be.
OP: Im sorry you had a bad experience with the MB dealership, however, the C63 is a very fun car to drive initially. The exhaust is intoxicating but the thing I hate about it is every kids pulling up next to me at the stop sign or traffic light wants to race me. Im done with it and I want to move on...
