997 paddle wheel install pictures on 2009 c4s
Thanks for the post & pics. I will definitely replace my OEM Steering wheel with this Porsche Steering wheel w/ Paddle Shifter. I'm definitely not a fan of the original steering wheel with the counterintuitive buttons for shifting. I love the paddle the shifters.

Thanks for all the info posted previously. I posted my install steps. Everyone proceed at your own risk. I have no formal Porsche training. I just followed previously posted info.
My dealer quoted me over 1800
when i called back in early 2010. Did it myself for about half that
. If you have the tools it didn't take over 20 minutes of actual labor.
Oh yeah new to this forum but have been lurking. Thanks for all the great info.
Sorry Mods if posted in wrong place. Can be moved to DIY thread.

Great thread.. Looks like this is plug n play. Dealer told me otherwise, possibly to get the business. Can anyone who's done this let me know how it's been since install, or any problems?
Its not really plug and play...at least for the 2010 models with the sport and sport plus lights. Thie lights have to be activated via the piwis. Otherwise you have the paddle without the lights.
Dealership says flash needed?!?
Hi,
Great write up and pictures! Thanks!
I saw a few posts with similar cars (2009?) and it didn't require a flash. I called my dealership and they wanted $190 for a flash/$380 to install. My original steering wheel isn't multi-function or any lights showing the words "PDK".
I trust that those have done it and didn't mention a flash to be alright. Maybe the 2010+ that have the lights that say PDK/SPORT modes (at the top of steering wheel) need to map those lights onto the Porsche Sport Design lights (on the left middle holes)?
