Thanks. I never knew that, and also didn't realize that in the 996 generation they didn't produce smaller engine base model cars in parallel to the larger engine S model cars like they did with the 997 generation. Looks like the 3.4L engines were on all the 996 models up through 2001 and then in 2002, they were all changed to the 3.6L engine, at which time some got called S models like the C4S, but others like the C2 didn't and were still called a C2 - weird.
