How do you tell the difference? Is is just year production?

I believe all 4-wheel drive 911's are wide body... 2 wheels are not with an exception for limited production units.

Narrow Body C2, C2S, GT3

Wide Body C4, C4S, Targa 4, Targa 4S, GT3RS, Turbo, GT2

The difference is about 1.75" total width.

So my 2009 911/997.2 plain-Jane Carrera is a narrow body, right? Or do I have a wide body?



Sorry to sound so naive, but this is my first Porsche... to me, this baby's got "hips" already and I love it... I'm thinking if this is "narrow"... the wide body... "baby must really got back"?

Never did understand that whole "wider is better". I guess you'd have to take out a tape measure to check that the C2 and C4 aren't the same "width". Enjoy what you have, it's a great car!

Nice car, I think the 4s are about 2in wider.

44mm - 1.75 inches? Is that 1.17 inches wider per side... or total of 1.75 inches wider?
less than 1 inch wider per side hardly seems like it would matter.
