Is the aero kit mostly for looks?
What are some of the real advantages/disadvantages from getting this kit from a performance standpoint? Here is what I came up with.
Pros
Better high speed stability (probably speeds 100+mph)
Cons
Weight gain (hard to say but aprox 50-75lbs)
A little slower high speed accel b/c of extra downforce
Increases drag??
Am I missing any here? How many lbs of downforce can you expect from this kit? Unless you run some high speed tracks, it seems like it's mostly for looks.

IMO, aero kits on street cars are all for looks, which is fine. The effective true race wings and splitters are generally much larger and not practical for a street car. Pick what you think looks good unless you're running a real dedicated race car, then the race wings and splitters will be the ones to go with and you'll gain exposure to them when you meet other racers with cup cars. If you're trying to turn your street car into a part-time track car, don't overdo it. Do wheels, tires, suspension, brake pads lines and fluids, maybe additional cooling. That's it. If you start gutting the car to save weight and adding aerodynamics, you're destroying a good street car, and it's still not a true race chassis, it's a money sink and you'll chase performance until you regretfully realize you've gone down the wrong path.
