Carrera S vs Ferrari 360
#23
Gen-1 997S is faster than a F-360 (or at least my slightly modded one - with full AWE exhaust - was). I had the chance to prove this again and again last year whilst on a performance car club tour in France. From any speed, the 7S will gradually pull away from the 360. Really pissed the 360 owner off!
The Gen-2 will eat a 360 alive. The difference in performance from my Gen-1 (even with the mods) to current Gen-2 is far biigger than the nominal increase in engine power would suggest. Yes, the PDK 'box is responsible for some of this effect, but I've driven a couple of Gen-2 manual cars too and the performance differences are just as obviious. If anyone can suggest why so little difference in HP makes so much difference in performance, I'd be interested to know.

Maybe because eating bratwurst is more efficient than eating spaghetti? I dunno...

I see that you have a fabspeed CAI, what do you think of it. I will be getting one installed this weekend hopefully. I know it will make the exhaust louder, but will I really feel the power increase. And where will I feel it most or at all; in the low range, mid range or high range? I heard I may feel some at low range but will definitley feel it after 3000rpm.
I am reluctant to believe the number increases since I moderatley feel the differnce with my ecu tune and exhaust.
I am going to get it anyway just want feedback from a guy who has my same model car.
