Anyway,

Here's an interesting thought: stop production of the gas V6s in the cayenne and panamera, and replace them with hybrid equivalents. Then - and here's the hard pill to swallow - Porsche subsidizes the hybrids to sell them at the V6 price points so that a.) everyone in California buys 2 porsches and b.) 3/5ths of all US porsche vehicle sales are hybrid and thus offset the other gas models - which we will all continue to buy at a modest 5-10% price increase. It will bifurcate the brand, but the most important thing is preserving freedom of choice and expression.

I bet there are a lot of limousine liberals opposed to the effects of this proposed legislation.

Also, if the law isn't set to take effect until 2016, that gives the next administration time to repeal it
