Installed my V1

Did the standard left side of the rear view with power run down the drivers side pillar into the fuse box. I used G brackets photo example and bought a fuse tap from autozone. The phone cord tucked in no problem by hand but a credit card helps jam it in there better. I sandwiched the cord between the dash and pillar with a mm visible by the dash and pillar joint closest to the windshield. I could have done better if I really tried or removed the pillar completely to tuck it in but really it is pretty stealth as is. The wire runs down the door jam under the rubber molding and into the panel area by the fuse box.

This is where G brackets photos really help. Undo the 3 screws on the fuse box and the carpeted panel comes right out easy as pie giving you complete access to the underside. The wire runs in behind the box and using the tap and the supplied wire splice from V1 connect it to a switched source, easy as can be. The wire tap fits under the fuse panel and the bolt used by G bracket is a perfect ground. Took me all of 15 minutes total and really could be done in 5 if you have done it before.

Super simple and pretty clean install.

I did the install by hardwiring it into the dome light above windshield. No need to run additional wires and installation is VERY clean. In fact from the outside of the car you can barely see it as it sits right next to the rearview mirror behind the dark tinted area at the top of the windshield. Received detailed instructions and photos on this website, I recall.
