FWIW, my wife loves the PASM on my C2S. When we were deciding between the M3 and Carrera, she and I switched driving and riding in the E92 M3 and for her, the ride comfort was comparable to the C2S in normal setting of PASM. Of course, in the Sport setting, the suspension is too harsh for LA roads for both of us. Now, my wife does like a sportier ride, so I don't know if it holds true for your GF as well.

Recently, my wife picked up a C2 (no PASM) from Houston, and we drove the ~1300 miles back to CA from Texas, and the ride was fine. Plenty of highway, and some city sightseeing. Of course, the ride is gonna be bumpy on poorly maintained roads, but for the most part, it's fine for us. Stock Michelin PS2s are loud, esp. when the tread wears down! We were not beat up after daily 10 hour drives (we switched often). The power seats with lumbar support really makes a difference. We love them! I also like the manual sport seats, but if you're gonna daily drive it or go on trips, get the comfort power seats (or adaptive power seats).

Thanks for all the replies. These are exactly the responses I am looking for. While one can learn many things during a test drive, it will never tell you what the car will be like after ten hours of driving or how it handles in the snow.

I am almost ready to go for the C2S, I just have a little nagging in the back of my head about getting AWD. Honestly, if I lived somewhere else or the 911 wasn't going to be my daily driver it would be a much easier decision.

As I said before, especially in CO, ground clearance will be your rate-limiting-step, not AWD. Go for C2S with snows.

C4S will give you that last nth degree of traction in the snow but also diminishes the fun factor the rest of the time, IMO.
