If Porsche wants ne1 to take the "check engine light" seriously....
they need a separate fuel cap warning. Imagine this midflight scenario: "Folks this is your captain speaking. Do not be alarmed but there is a problem. We either are experiencing an engine malfunction or someone didn't tighten the fuel cap right after we took on fuel the last time. We'll know in a few hundred miles."
Took 3 days after I reset the cap for the "go to engine service shop" warning light to go out. This on a car that has a fuel gauge, a low fuel warning light, a miles to reserve indicator and a red exclamation point on the dash to tell you what you already know. I'm relieved it was only the cap (last time it cost 400$ to have a sensor replaced) but really guys.....

That's alright... On my car if I park and turn off the car with the turn signal still on it screams at me and tells me I left the parking or driving lights on (can't recall which). The first time it drove me nuts trying to figure out why it was complaining about the parking or driving lights when I never had them on...
