Need help from all the DME gurus...
So I had the gundo + X51 headers install done on my 08 C2S. Basically since the day it was installed it's been throwing a CEL code. My durametric is telling me it's code P0050 "Final Stage for heater of oxygen, sensor ahead of cat C, bank2" clearing it only helps temporarily as it pretty much will come back on as soon as the engine is restarted. My installer says he will take a look at it, but I want to to me able to let them know exactly where the issue is. This type of install to my knowledge shouldn't throw any CELs period, so I'm quite annoyed right now. I've read that even completely removing the exhaust in 997's doesn't even throw CELs.
As much as I like the durametric tool, I still have trouble deciphering what exactly it means. Any ideas what this exactly means and what kind of guidance I should give to my installer when I send the car back???
Thanks for all the help in advance.

All the info you'll ever need about heated O2sensors is here:
http://www.asashop.org/autoinc/dec2002/mech.htm
The code is basically telling you that the self diagnostic test for the heater element shows some sort of failure, however, it doesn't mean your O2 sensor itself is not working.
Once the exhaust temperature is up, it'll heat the O2 sensor to its normal operating temperature. The heating element is designed to speed up process so it works earlier following a cold start. Your code could be a result of a failing H02S heater element, or a wiring problem. It's got nothing to do with the headers itself, unless you fiddled with the sensor wiring during installation.

Thank you so much for the link to the article. What a wealth of info!
After reading it, I feel like it is more of an electrical issue as the O2 sensors were replaced very recently. I will let the installer know about this as I drop the car off. Thanks again.

Hi guys,
I'm having the same problems.
I can't seem to get into this link (provided above).

Can you advise as to what to look out for,
in terms of heated 02 sensors & wiring issues to check.
Thanks again.
