First, I want to proactively say that I've used "search" extensively

My daughter is about to be 1 year old, and I can't wait to be able to take her and my wife together in the Porsche. I've done hours of research trying to figure out what to do about a car seat in my 997.1. I was set on the Britax Roundabout based on what I read, but when I finally went to pull the trigger, I realized that the original Roundabout 40, which seems to be the popular choice, is no longer available. They now offer a 50 and a 55 (current version) and it looks like they've gotten larger. Anyone have advice related to the NEW roundabout models?

Or, any new advice about other brands and models to try?

A friend has the Round-a-bout for his 1.5 year old but the fit is kinda funky.

 

If roundabout is the smallest Britax, then I believe it will fit. At the store, I pulled out all the Britax models and tried them in my car. It will fit, but the question is how tall is your passenger? The clearance is somewhat limited, so if your wife sits shotgun and she is tall, than it may be a tight squeeze... My wife is 5'1" so its not an issue.

I'm still in the early stages, so we are using a rear facing infant seat. Graco Snugride (smallest model - not the 35) fits like a charm... I will create a thread and post pics when I have time...
