I know this topic has been beaten to death, but i could not find any valuable posts regarding Sport Mode during Break-in period.

- Would this 'help' during break in period, or should it be avoided?
- Does it really matter?

 

I don't think it really matters whether you're driving on Sport or Normal. The important thing is don't go over 4000 rpm especially if the engine is not warmed up.

 

I wouldn't suggest revving the engine when cold even after the break in... Make sure the oil is over 200 degrees before you really hit the throttle. When you work a cold engine hard it will shorten the engine life.
