But look at all the reviews of the ZR1. It is still a bargain car. The inteior is cheap. The exterior is cheap. Its a monster yes, but not a GT car like the Turbo. Again it all comes down to what you want from your toys.

It is hard to put them in the same category for me. They are just soooo different.

An 07 Turbo without Flash and exhaust will walk a C6. Was looking at an old mag other day with first test of 2007 tt. Ran a 3.5 0-60, a feat that even a Z06 couldn't muster let alone a base Vette.

Drive both and the answer will be crystal clear to you. In the real world.. numbers don't mean alot IMO. It's about the experience and each offers it's own flavor.

+1

I have an '08 ZO6 and have driven the S; they are simply two different types of cars with different types of appeals. Should be readily apparent which one most appeals to you after a short drive.

(I'm trading mine for a GTS.)

I agree. I had a 2008 Z06 as well before my C2S. Two totally different cars.
Kind of funny but the Z was a more comfortable car to dive. Easy to shift and actually was smoother over bad roads. The fit and finish is one thing, but the feeling of confidence entering a corner in the 911 is greater. Of course I do miss all of that down low grunt of the Z.
I probably would have been better served getting a used TT instead of the C2S.

I think your GTS decision is a good call with the extra hp. Probably route I would consider if ordering a new 997 today. I would also get PDK to maximize performance.

This is what I will probably ending up doing honestly.

Good call you should be able to find a low mileage CPO 2007 or 2008 TT for cost of a new C2S.

That's how I ordered it- for the added performance and it'll be much nicer to deal with in the hellish traffic we have here during rush hour. The GTS will be my dd.

Glad I went that way as, in my opinion, the clutch action on the ZO6 is embarassingly bad. If you feel the S is more problematic, that would really be bad. (For me.)

I agree with other folks, you personally have to drive both.

The C2S clutch is just a little stiffer and higher than the Z's was IMHO.
It will be interesting to see how C2S PDK compares to GTS PDK.
