First: thanks to all for the helpful info. Been lurking for some weeks now and got a lot of good ideas from all. This is a good forum, not a lot of bickering.
Long story short, 09 M3 coupe is gone (gonna miss it great car), just ordered '11 C4S coupe,6mt, dk. blue, natural grey, turbo wheels, PSE, chrono,sport pasm, comfort pkg, nav, dynamic lights, multifunc.-wheel,.vented seats. Delivery about end Jan early Feb. Gonna be a l-o-n-g winter, (but a great spring!)

 

a first huzzah to the new member ! I love the dark blue as well.

 

Got rid of my 08 M3 coupe and ordered a 2011 C4s 6mt with all your same gear. I pick her up Friday! Enjoy, brother!!!

Congrats! I had a hard time walking away from the BMW dealership after driving the '11 M3 convertible, and one day I'm sure I"ll go back there, but I know I made the right decision!

Why did you dump the M3? I've considered it, but haven't driven one yet.

The M3 was excellent in all respects, fast when you keep the r's up, handles and brakes well, comfy inside. No complaints at all other than the 14mpg. But... I drove a new 997 and that, as they say, was that. BTW I was on the fence with the DCT trans when I bought the M. Got the 6mt instead and I was glad I did. Non-issue when I picked out the c4s. Just love rowin those gears.
