Performance without Sacrificing Reliability
Where to start........"More performance WITHOUT sacrificing reliability" .......not sure that this can happen, adding big power(100+hp) while effect the motors overall longevity. At what amount?....no-one knows.I have seen supercharged cars with over 75,000 boosted miles on them and NO issues!
NOW...
A factory turbo car can be modified to make GOBS and GOBS of power(depending on your budget) and a NA car with FI will see 400-450 RWHP.....
Depending on what you are looking to do with your car,you are going to get a couple of different answers here on the forums......
First-People will tell you to take a performance driving course and learn to drive your car to the limit(the way it is meant to be driven).
So,if you are going to track your car then this probably is the way to go BUT if you are looking for street performance where it is probably a BAD idea to run your car that hard around turns,etc..........and just looking for a hard straight line speed to the speed limit(pulling from lights or onto freeways/highways)....
This would be my second piece of advice....get some sort of FI(turbo or supercharger).
I personally ran a supercharger with great results(making well over 400 RWHP) and since have two other cars that are running reliably on that power level!
Do a search under my name and you will find plenty of info!
GL with your choice.......
