White: A bad exterior color choice?

Can't go wrong with white. Why do you think all the factory race cars come in white? It's obviously the fastest. I had a black C2S and while nothing beats the look of a freshly cleaned black car I just didn't have the patience to keep it clean. Swirl and haze marks also drove me up the wall. Guards red is probably my favorite next to white though.

I never thought of it that way. Silver (esp GT silver)? YES. All that said, white looks great on a Carrera. I've seen some that look nearly as muscular, if not as menacing, as their black counterparts. Both look great.

All i have to say about white color on carrera is not bad. but personally for me black always the best color on any car. especially modified black on black or brushed wheels also. black color tends to show that the car is really muscular, exotic, and looks more agressive for sports car. But anyone can disagree with me and white color is not bad at all for carrera but the color white for me looks good for BMW 3 series.

White is my favorite color. Looks good when its dirty but looks amazing when its clean and waxed. Mine is white with blue top and interior.

One of the 997's I'm interested in buying is Carrera White. I know black cars are notoriously impossible to keep clean but I'm not sure about white. My wife once had a VW f that was white and everytime it rained, there were black streaks on it from the window gasket rubber.
Surely my 997 wont be seeing much rain and I'd guess that gaskets are made better now than they were in the 90's.

I just had my car detailed for the second time and this Blue Turquiose color is just the best choice I ever made on any car color.
I know not everyone's favorite but maybe something to think about

I drove this '09 launch edition 997.2 at the G'boro, NC Porsche dealer in September of '08 - it had just been released.
I immediately fell in love with the Carrera White color. I actually had this picture as my screen saver for nearly a year, just to remind myself how much I enjoyed driving that car.
I still like the white paint..

I like them all - mine is black and I agree with all the comments on black cars. I think white would be cool especially with nice tinted windows and clear side markers - really is such a clean look!
