Car hedonism and rubbers

Hey, I went into the dealer once and they told me that as part of a service they will be lubricating my rubber seals, including the sunroof (which creaks a bit on inclines). Is this true? Does anyone lubricate or condition the rubber door and sunroof seals? What do you use to do it? I'm contemplating a good leather conditioner. Thanks.

All rubber trim should me cleaned and coated with 303 Aerospace Protectant periodically (say every month or two). You can do it yourself.

Same for all plastic pieces, including lower windshield cover, black bumper edges, etc.

Most marine stores like West Marine stock 303...it is an awesome product. However you can use other rubber protectants you can find at your car parts store or order some goodies from Phil at Detailers Domain or Griotsgarage.com
