I used one, it works alright, but isn't even close to a harness.

I use one....not like a harness but it surely helps.

For the track....
I tighten it then lean the seat back some and yank on the shoulder belt to lock it and then move the seat back up so that the shoulder belt stays locked.

i am putting in recaro sportster cs seat on a driver side but still cannot do rollbar as still need rear seats and do not want to mess with removable ones or narness bars as they are not safe, so, it will have to work for now.
well, at least it is not a bogus junk of some sort, thanks for confirmation.
