Creaking noise from the ? spring coils..997.2

Hi guys: Ever since the temps have dipped below 30 F, I've noticed a creaking noise from the rear as the car is driven over every mini pot hole. Happened last winter but never noted during warmer weather ie spring, summer and fall. The noise is similar to what you would hear in a coils spring mattress and is most noticeable during very slow speeds. Any thoughts ? My car is a '09 C4S 997.2. We all like pictures as here is one. Just celebrated a year last month and has 9.5K miles. No issues so far other than a cracked windshield from a rock chip. We all like pics so here is one with it's winter shoes.

I suggest you have your car checked. It sounds like a strut attachment problem. There is a plastic/composite part where the spring seats. Perhaps yours is fractured.

Service guys did not notice any noise when they drove it in Jan 2010 when I took it for an oil change. Will be going there this Jan 2011 and will have them take a closer look. Thanks Adias. Hopefully they hear it this time.

it is at its worst while going over undulating pavement. Unfortunately, the roads near my dealer are not like that. I was assuming that it was the tops of the damper mounts on the rear shocks. If you find out what it is, let me know!!
