Aftermarket exhaust and CA emissions inspections

I'm sure I'll want to get a bit more sporting sound out of the exhaust. Especially if I get a 997.2 .... I've read complaints that the stock exhaust is wimpier than the 997.1.
Any issues with the emissions inspection *****? Or don't they care as long as it passes? Does CA still use drive rolls (it's been 20 years since I left).

The 997.2's have the cats before the mufflers, so as long as you do cat back there won't be any issues. Plus, as stated, it's in the 7th year that the first smog is do.

Leaving stock cats on will allow u to pass. As long as it passes the tailpipe test, moat shops will pass u. Smog machine already plugs into the obd2 port and go on the rollers.

Wow, am I out of date! When I left CA you had to get an emissions inspection every two years starting at the second year. Thanks for the good news!
