Bluetooth Options

Hi,

I just bought a 2007 C4S and it has the SIM card slot. Can someone tell me what is the function of this slot exactly? What are my best integrated bluetooth options? I heard that Moobridge requires me to disconnect my CD player and I will lose all CD capability which I am not a fan of.

Thanks!

The SIM slot on the dash is for use with the factory phone module, which very, very few 997.1's in the US have as it is not very practical for use in this country. Most people here with a 997.1 use an aftermarket bluetooth kit, with Dension and NAV-Tv appearing to be the most popular, as they integrate with the PCM controls. Do a Web search and you will find a lot of info on both. I have a NAV-Tv set up and it works fine.

I know you are looking for an integrated unit, but do also consider a wireless one from Jabra. It's a new product and both connects your Bluetooth device (such as an iPhone) and serves as a speakerphone with voice dial. I just bought one for my Ferrari 360 and it works very well. Re music is sent to your car by an FM transmission. You'll save a bundle which can be used on other mods where there may not be a good substitute.
