Smile Good News/ Bad News

Hey Guys/gals,

GOOD NEWS: I just found out that we are Pregnant ....

Bad News: You know this, I will need to get rid of Silvia, the Silver 997.2 C4S!

So, what is a good car/SUV you suggest, BTW, we have been trying for 2.5 years and I will do anything to take care of my new baby.....

All suggestions are appreciated, I thought of a Quattroporte to a S63, maybe even a (CLS) but the 63..... all help is appreciated.......

Please help. this was a SUUUUUURPRRISE!!!!!! on Christmas in Paris, France!!!

thanks in advance.

ak (C4S!)

Congrats! I'd vote for a Cayenne S if you are looking for a good SUV.

Keep the 911 and get a family car?

We bought an Audi as my wife's car and I drive the 997s whenever I drive with the kids. The ultimate family Truckster :-)

Dude, I've got 11 and 8 olds! They fit in the back, no problem. You've got a LONG time before you need to change cars! Seems like you've gone through a lot of cars - this shouldn't a reason to sell the 911!

Cayenne Turbo .
My first vote would have gone to the Panamera Turbo (best sedan in the world ) but the SUV is higher off the ground and neither you nor your wife will have to bend to place your infant in the child seat.

Choice B -
Keep the c4s and lease a BMW X5 . BMW lease programs can be really attractive and if some baby formula spills out .. it's their car .

Agreed! I have two boys (3 & 5) and they love riding in the 911 with me. It is a great family car. Just need a bigger car for the wife for when you guys need the extra luggage space.

first off congrats

My son was huge surprise to me but the best thing that has ever happened to me. I actually bought my 911 because I needed something that would act as semi family car, for minimal daddy driving duties. Of course I had another more practical car for complete family duty but so far the 911 has passed with flying colors. I would say if you love the car look into how user friendly it really can be for a baby. I find it to be great

Congrats! What other cars do you have? Keep the Porsche if you can. Ever think of getting an AMG Wagon (stay away from the R)? If not, my vote is for the Cayenne Turbo if you need an SUV (though for its size, it is not that spacious) or the Panamera for a sedan. However, there is only space for four in the Panamera. And that would be a bummer if you want to take the GPs along for a ride if they came for a visit - you would need to take two cars.

Congratulations. Being a Dad is the best thing in the world!

I would go either Cayenne Turbo or X5

First off, congratulations! Nothing is more precious than bringing in a new life, nurturing him/her, and sharing the joys and tribulations of the whole process. I would not trade anything for this.

Now, having said that, I would ask you to reconsider keeping the 911 for all the above posters' reasons. It's really a practical sports car! I have a 7 y/o daughter who loves to go to school in the 911, even in that "cramped" back seat . Those seats are surprisingly more spacious than you think.

If you still feel the need to change car, may I recommend the Audi S4 with the s/c V6. Quite a sleeper with daily practricality.
