power seat adjustments

Hello all,

Been having some issues with my power seat and memory setting. Can someone confirm this for me?

1. Does the driver side only accept one adjustment input at a time? On the passenger side I can move the seat forward and tilt the seat back at the same time (or any combinations of adjustments) while on the driver side it will only accept one input at a time. I have to let go of one switch before making another adjustment. Does yours do the same?

2. When you press the memory button, does the seat again only adjust one position at a time?

3. When you activate key memory so that it automatically adjust the seats when unlocking, does it always set the seats or does it only work some of the time?

Forgive my analness (is that even a word) I swear the seat didn't function like this until recently. Help relief the stress of an OCD owner and report your seat behavior.

Thanks!

1. One adjustment at a time with driver's seat.
2. One adjustment at a time when a memory button is pushed.
3. For some reason, my key doesn't adjust the seat when unlocking, even after I pushed the Key memory button to memorize the positions before locking. I have to read the manual once more.

Thanks for the response. At least I am not going crazy. One thing I have noticed with the memory is that the lumbar doesn't always work. I guess it is not a big deal.

For you to have key memory work I believe you need to have the dealer activate key memory. If you have SC maybe there is an option there?

My lumbar didn't get memorized as part of the seat settings - I thought that's just how it worked. Over time the behavior morphed to the lumbar being out at maximum every time I got in the car. Finally, it went beyond maximum and sounded like it wouldn't stop pumping air in. I honestly thought it would pop. Besides, it was uncomfortable as can be. Dealer determined a faulty seat control module and replaced under warranty. Turns out it may have been failing slowly ever since I bought the car.

Thank you so much for the info. That is exactly what is happening! It is hard to duplicate because you have to show the service department the lumbar and I didn't realize it until after the fact. I stop pressing the button when I think the lumbar was going to explode too!
I will give them this info and hopefully they will fix it. However I was surprised at how poor my service experience has been so far. They don't seem to care to fix anything...

Wow, now I'm glad I don't have the key activated seat memory. I'm the only driver so the seat positions are never adjusted. That would be tedious with the adaptive sport seats.
