Not off road in the trashing it sense, but if you go skiing there are at times unpaved, a little rough roads to drive on and with low profile tires and sport rims, it's asking for trouble. I guess then if I just bought a second set of wheels and tires, it would work.

At least winter tires. But yes that is the best option and you would be good to go!

I love my Cayenne GTS. On the highway, it is as smooth and stable as a Mercedes S class sedan, with lots of power. I have room for 5 plus luggage. I can tow my toys. In the winter, I put those 21 in wheels away in favor of 19 in snow tires. This thing is AMAZING in the snow. The build quality is superior to its competitors. Don't forget, these are German made, whereas the Mercedes and BMWs are made in the US. I recently drove the new Cayenne, and feel there has been a significant improvement. Lots of refinements and options. They are pricey, though.
