SSK on a C4S

I am considering changing out my stock shifter for the SSK. Is it night and day? 50% shorter throw? A must do mod?

The short shift kit is a sweet mod. I will never go back to a standard shifter. I bet the shift throws are 50% less. Even my wife likes the SSK!

The SSK will make the shifting feel a little "notchy", especially when the transmission is cold.

My car came with the OEM SSK and am quite happy with it.

I love mine. Night and day. The OEM fitment is superb .The car should come with it standard IMO.

I got my C4S 2nd hand with it (factory option) but I have tried the regular shift in a friend's car. HUGE difference. Definitely do it one way or the other.

And btw: In my opinion, too many aftermarket SSK are inferior to the factory one. Maybe this isn't the case with other makes of cars, but I've tried a couple and, compared to mine, the accuracy of selecting the gear you want quickly is just not there. Without that = FAIL.

Nowhere near 50% - "up to 20%" reduction according to Porsche.
