Atlanta Gundo

Atlanta Gundo Hack
Just got the Gundo w/ 2" stainless pipe.
Highly recommend this little exhaust shop - what a gem of a find! Owner is Jose and his shop is located right in the heart of mid-town/buckhead. I was super impressed with his service and his shop was abolutely spotless.

here are a few more reviews.

Hi, I know this thread is a little bit old, but I just got my 911 C2 couple of days ago and I am looking for a place around Atlanta (GA) to do my Gundo Hack, I am extremely paranoid about giving my car to anyone to mess with and now with my new 911 this feeling had intensified.

I tried that number with no luck, and the link doesn't seen to work anymore. I would like to take it to a place that at least someone from this forum knows that they had done the hack before.

Thanks

Try the corrected number. I incorrectly typed 770 instead if 404 (Atlantans will understand)

404-872-7220

Ask for Jose. He has been around for a long time. Shop was immaculate and he was a gentleman. Look up other good reviews in superpages.com or Yelp.com for additional comfort. It's been a year but he charged me $200 but said he would probably ask for $250 next time. Offer cash?!?

Use 1-3/4" stainless pipe. I used 2" and he said weld would have been much better with 1-3/4.

Antonio's Buckhead Mufflers
2171 Piedmont Rd NE,
Atlanta, GA 30324
404-872-7220

Print out pictures for him from original Gundo thread as a reminder and PLEASE let him know that you were referred by me (I was his first Gundo - he will remember me)

I am glad you've found a resource, but that price is really high.
Try calling Alan: (770) 817-1150.
Let him John with the black 997SC referred you. He does all sort of really cool custom exhaust fabrication...

I am getting mine done next week at a place in Orlando for $75 per can with 1 3/4 pipe. It's a bit on the low end of the price range, but seems like they are familiar with this type of job and aren't charging a pcar premium.

Ok thanks, that is close to my office, I will stop by tomorrow and get a quote.

Most people had it done for ~$250 so i didn't think it was too high, but if that place would do it for less i'll go for it

I stop by there today and talked to "Alan", they want $150 for Labor (removing and reinstalling the cans) Plus $200 for the mod itself, totaling $350.

Jose at Buckhead was not only a better quote but he seen more confident about knowing exactly what to do than this shop. (IMO).

UPDATE:

Just did Gundo today, and I couldn't be happier, Jose took care of everything, did the removal and install in the most professional manner, he himself supervised the entire process to make sure everything was smooth and that the car was being threat it as what it is ...a Porsche.

Sound is Amazing, I love it
