We did that to show an example of the color behind a plastic lens, notice its out of the car with plenty of airspace, once installed the tight quarters would kill it within a few hrs.

Just ordered the License Plate Assembly. I had installed some 39mm LEDs from v-leds and they were ok in color, but not all that bright. Looking forward to seeing these.

Funny thing...I rarely seem to drive my car at times that require the lights on. But when I do, I want it to look sharp!

Just installed the License Plate assemblies from Hoen and that are a perfect fit with much more light. What I like about them is that they light up the entire plate area. When I replaced the stock bulbs with LEDs, I basically had 2 distinct areas of the plate lit up. Love it.

I also installed the Chromium side markers as well as some sample LEDs. What I really liked was that there was no more amber coloring under my clear side markers when the lights are off. Very clean look. Still up in the air as to whether I'll go LED or the Hoen Cr sides, but both are great. The LEDs throw more light out than the Cr ones, but not sure that's what I want either. After all, the point is to reduce the amber color on the car, not increase it.

 

Got mine in the other day. Can't wait to install them this weekend.
