Front marker lights?

The stock marker lights on the front quarter panels...the stock color is yellow but the clear looks much nicer. When you make that swap do you need to change the stock bulb as well or just the plastic cover?
Thanks

I swapped the plastic covers. Literally 30 secs per light. The clear markers already come with a yellow bulb.

I put the clear bulbs from the stock markers into the clear markers in lieu of the orange bulbs; looks much cleaner

Cool. TWO solutions. The car I'm considering is black, so the clear/clear might look better than yellow, but sounds like its easy enough to change.
Thanks guys.

All side marker lights must be amber ( FMVSS 108 ) so if you want to be legal you would need to put yellow bulbs in the clear lenses. I did not and I don't know anyone who has.

you can use T10 LED with error free feature and color, xenon white.
It will match all the HID xenon headlite and front leds.
Look on ebay or any light supplyer in the web.
No other colors or bulbs will match like this. If you use white it will look odd with the other bulb colors, Yellow is the us dot regulation.

Put the silver coated bulbs in that are orange when they light up. The bulbs are essentially invisible when not illuminated. Simple plug and play and no issues with codes. I got mine on ebay.

thats true, its a chrome coating and its over a amber color bulb, But its still yellow when its illuminated.
The led is xenon color when its illuminated.
The chrome bulbs are good for turn signals when they arent illuminated all the time.

Same here...piece of cake....

Thanks guys. Def clear over yellow (and will probably try to get away with the clear bulb). How about a "blacked out" lens, since the car is black - thoughts? I have dark lenses on my other car but it is blue - which looks cool. BTW if the PPI goes well I will have the C2S home by the weekend!!!
