Unless you find a launch code 997S (maybe 8-10k off, midwest), the best I've heard is about 1k off sticker in cali.

got few sources are telling me Porsche is gonna limit the production numbers on the new cars because the HQ is not very happy with the discount we're getting from the dealers. i was also told dealers have their own message board & some dealers are buying S for over invoice because of the production can not meet the demand. sorry if this is true but u've got to admit that'll help the long-term name & product resale. i truely hope this is true because if u think about it, what other cars u can buy nowadays for a over 5k off to start the deal. not even the sorta-playout M3 are still going for MSRP in CA.

I have been to about 8 west coast dealers and none of them are dealing on the S. Base 997 models (non-S) are negociable, however. I too have a real issue paying sticker price (principal I guess) and can't seem to get a dealer to "work" with me. I don't blame them really, they don't need to deal because they are selling them all day long at MSRP!!

Almost every dealer sold out their 997 S. I was told that Porsche limit their 2005 997 production. And the '06 production will have a price increase. The best spot I can get is this July.

10k off a 997s? that seems very high. Mind sharing how/where that kind of discount is available? I want one and at 10k off it is impossible to resist. TIA

Discount on 997 Carrera S's

I don't know anyone that is discounting these cars.
We just can't get them. There aren't any out there, and we all have waiting lists with deposits to get them. With the 2006's it isn't quite as bad to get them. They are releasing more than the 2005's.
I will however offer some type of a discount for 6speedonline.com members.

Thanks,

porschedlr,
Is that the only 997S available?
I am in search of a black 997.
Tiptronic, Sport Chrono and navi are a must.
Let me know if you have one.
Thank you.
