First GTS sighting - north Raleigh

Saw my first GTS coupe today at the monthly "First Saturday" cars and coffee event in north Raleigh. The car is simply stunning. One of the sales reps drove it up to the event for the lads from the local PCA club (and others - potential buyers?) to see.

The car is Platinum Silver Metallic with Black Alcantara interior (with the back seats, which apparently are standard in cars delivered to CONUS). It's spec'd out as follows. Sticker is right at $120K.

XRR - 19" Carrera Sport Wheel
XUZ - Mirror Attachment Alum Look
XXG - Rear Lights-Clear Glass Optics
XYB - Fuel Tank Cap Aluminum Look
CNC - Front Air Intake Grills Alum
P01 - Adaptive Sport Seats
603 - Dynamic Cornering Light
686 - XMİ Radio
712 - Deletion of GTS Sidetrips
250 - Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
640 - Sport Chrono Package Plus
342 - Heated Seats (Front)
680 - BOSEİ Surround Sound System
672 - Extend Navigation Mod-PCM 3.0
267 - Self Dimming Mirrors

The car is exactly as it would be if I ordered one. As hard as it was to do, I decided not to temp myself by taking a test drive since my '10 Carrera is less than a year old, and since I'm not willing to take a serious bath with the first year depreciation on my car.

Still.. (I hope they sell it soon..)

Centerlock wheels and Carrera Sport wheels are the same price. You can pick either one. I'd be more than happy with the black Carrera Sport wheels.

seriously. denies the exterior of nearly all GTS differentiation. seems to defeat the purpose.

Not really, the value of the GTS is the wide *** and 408hp engine. Everything else is just cosmetics.

Centerlocks are a huge PITA... I would go without them as well if I had the option.

You would take a serious bath buying this...
there have already been 2 buyer remorse listed on ebay, both white and under 300 miles. the first one was listed twice and the bidding only got to 101K..second car
was listed with buy it now at 116k..
so if you could get a dealer to take 10k off might be worth it..other wise I would rather get a 1 year old Turbo for 125k
