9500ix Hardwire Tutorial?

Looking for any info on how to hardwire a Escort 9500ix into a 997? From what I understand, you can run the cable around the windshield into the fuse box, but I'm not sure how to get it around the dash and into the box without it being unsightly. I'm also not sure if I should just use the included suction mount or use something that attaches more securely (saw something that mounts to the rear view mirror). Any help is appreciated.

I followed directions from links below to hardwire my 9500ix. You tap into power from sunroof / overhead lights area. Has been working great for two years now.

Links below are for Valentin, but wiring is identical. First link has great photos. However, it is easier if you remove the complete lights + sunroof cover as described in second link

I use included suction cups. I looked at other metal brackets, but are bulky; below is link to radar mount for Escort 9500x. I did not go this route because detector is too obvious; you can put it higher up with included suctions cups.
